Q: How did you discover blockchain technology and what caught your interest?
A: I discovered blockchain technology around 2014 through a colleague at DraftKings who was mining DOGE in his college dorm room. The interest was further piqued when a Bitcoin ATM appeared in the Boston train station. This compelled me to dig deeper and learn more about it. I’ve kept a casual interest in blockchain and crypto until I started working actively in the space.
Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
A: I enjoy going for walks to wind down, especially in the summer. The longer daylight hours after work often allow me to go for more adventurous hikes in the woods.
Q: Why did you join Metallicus and what do you love about working here?
A: I joined Metallicus due to the combination of the people and the vision. It’s thrilling to work with incredibly talented colleagues and contribute to building the future of digital assets and banking.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: I would travel anywhere with mountains. I am a nature enthusiast, and I love the scenic views and diverse nature that mountainous regions offer. Plus, hiking in such areas is one of my favorite activities.
Q: Can you describe a typical day in your role at Metallicus?
A: My typical day usually starts with reviewing my calendar, prioritizing tasks, planning breaks for walking, stretching, or having lunch, and then getting down to work. However, given the dynamic nature of my work, there isn’t really a typical day as such.
Q: What is a book, movie, or TV show that has made a significant impact on your life?
A: There isn’t a single book, movie, or TV show that stands out. I read a lot, and many books have been influential in different ways. As for movies and TV shows, I mostly watch them for entertainment and relaxation. I have a fondness for old, slow-paced black and white movies, with Turner Classic Movies being my go-to channel.
Q: Can you share an exciting project you’re currently working on at Metallicus?
A: Currently, I’m excited about the internal operational improvements we are working on. While it’s not tied to a specific product or initiative, this work is aimed at enhancing the speed at which we ship, ensuring the most secure and comprehensive offerings, and providing better tools to our business teams. This will enable us to provide the best product and support in the industry for years to come.
